Town and countryside

Visit Marlborough without staying in the centre.

Elderbrook House is not in Marlborough itself. We are a countryside B&B in the village of Winterbourne Monkton, outside the town and close to Avebury, with Marlborough within easy reach by car. Guests often come to the area for:

  • Its historic High Street
  • Independent shops and cafés
  • Restaurants and pubs
  • Events, work or visiting friends and family
  • Access to the surrounding countryside

If you would rather step out of the door onto the High Street, a town-centre stay may suit you better. If you would like the town by day and quiet countryside in the evening, we may be the right fit.

Why stay in the countryside?

A quieter base beyond the town.

Space to slow down

A family-run stay surrounded by countryside, rather than a town-centre hotel experience.

Parking at the house

Free on-site parking for guests at Elderbrook House, so you can drive into town and come back without hunting for a space here.

Breakfast before the day begins

Continental and freshly cooked breakfast options are included with stays in the B&B rooms.
