Staying near Avebury

Close to the stones
Avebury is close enough to become part of the stay rather than simply somewhere to visit. Guests can walk across the fields, return through the village or explore the stone circle when the day is quieter.

Next door
The New Inn sits beside Elderbrook House, giving guests somewhere close by for a local pint or an evening meal when the pub is serving food. After a day exploring Avebury, guests may not need to drive elsewhere for dinner.
Elderbrook House and The New Inn are separate businesses with separate websites and booking arrangements. Opening hours and food service vary, so guests should check the pub website and reserve a table where appropriate.
Avebury may bring you here, but the surrounding countryside rewards a little more time. Windmill Hill, Silbury Hill, West Kennet Long Barrow, the Ridgeway and Marlborough all offer reasons to stay beyond a single night.
Two or three nights allow time for the ancient landscape, a proper walk and an unhurried breakfast without turning the visit into a rigid itinerary.
